Why we're cutting it twice

A film gets made three times: once when it's written, once when it's shot, and once in the edit. Everyone in the industry knows this. Almost nobody outside it ever gets to see it.
So we're running the experiment in public. One shoot, one crew, one set of performances — and then Eileen and Jason take the same footage into two different rooms.
Neither of them is making the "real" version. That's the whole point.
